Academy Conversion!
On April 1st 2013 the school converted to an Academy. Governance is now under the direction of a trust known as the South Shropshire Academy Trust.
This multi-academy trust is committed to maintaining the highest possible educational opportunities for the young people of South Shropshire. Under the terms of the Academy the title of Headteacher has been changed to Principal, however all other titles remain the same. The school will continue to be known as Church Stretton School and governors (who are now directors of the Trust) will be known as governors.
The governors would like to thank all contributors to the process of conversion. Particular thanks are due to Ms Maria Roche and Mr Simon Holland who both chaired the Governors’ Working party.
The website will continue to be updated with Academy news as appropriate.
Enjoy the summer term.
Best Ever Examination results!
Many congratulations to our Year 11 students who posted another set of record examination results last summer. You can see photographs of students receiving their results and the headline data from the link below. You will be aware of national concerns regarding results and in the context of a national decline in overall grades these results are particularly impressive. I would like to express our appreciation for all the hard work and effort put in by staff, students and, of course, excellent support from parents. Photos 2012 | Previous Exam results.
